Punta Cana Dominican Republic

We spent a wonderful week in Club Med Punta Cana. Despite the closure of the main restaurant due to the fire, the team of General Manager Francis Lacoste did a remarkable job to minimize its impact and was very attentful. A special thanks to Manon in Guest Relations, to Sebastiane in Zen Oasis and to the golf team for the golf course reservations.

We can't wait to go back. We went with a fourteen month old and loved our stay. The beach and ocean at the resort are fantastic and the food exceeded our expectations.

Club Med Punta Cana will always have my heart! My last visit was 14 years ago, and returning brought back so many wonderful memories. This resort truly has a stunning location and amazing amenities, and it continues to hold a special place in my heart.

The beach is absolutely breathtaking—white sands, crystal-clear water, and so much space to relax or explore. The Zen Oasis area was another highlight, offering a peaceful and serene escape. Special love to Alina at the Zen Oasis bar—her kindness and attention made every moment there even more special.

One of the most unique and fun activities was the trapeze—such a thrilling experience! The team running it was phenomenal, and I want to give a huge shoutout to Ricardo, Enmanuel, Jon Carlos, and the two lovely girls for making it such a welcoming and enjoyable experience.

While the overall experience was great, I did notice some areas where things weren’t as impressive as before. The food, while decent, wasn’t as delicious as I remembered. It was fairly average and felt repetitive over the course of the stay. The restaurant service could also use improvement—it was often difficult to request drinks or coffee or find a table, and the level of attentiveness wasn’t quite what I expected.

One thing I truly missed was the vibrant local Dominican Republic music & people. Incorporating this during the day and in the nightclub would add so much life and authenticity to the Club Med experience, bringing in the rich culture of the region.

That being said, I met some truly incredible G.Os who made my stay extra special. A special mention goes to Ralph from Mini Club, Ricardo, Hannah from Guest Relations, Julien at Tennis, Valdo and Ronny at the Nautique Club activities, and of course the amazing trapeze team. Their energy, warmth, and genuine care really stood out and made my experience unforgettable.

Despite a few drawbacks, I can’t wait to return to this beautiful resort. Club Med Punta Cana remains a magical place, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
