Cefalù Italy

Location is incredibly beautiful. Particularly loved the beach area! The rooms are spacious and comfortable! We enjoyed the activities offered on and off site such as yoga and morning runs. The GOs are all really kind and really appreciated our time spent with Tomasso who was in charge of the runs! If club med style entertainment is not really your thing it’s also easy to avoid by going down to the beach during the day. Food offered was delicious although the pasta from the buffet is often a little cold which is bummer. Other than the pasta, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this resort!

My family and I had an excellent time here! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Tommaso , Juliet, and Gerry went above and beyond with making sure our stay was memorable. Definitely recommend staying here!

A particular mention to the staff who were always happy to help and provided a range of fun and vibrant entertainment. Specific mention to Allesandro, Mathilde and Luca for their vibrant personalities, attention to detail, consideration and care for the duration of the stay. I would recommend Club Med Cefalu!

The location is where the majority of the rating comes from, the view from our sea view room was magnificent. Definitely recommend the upgrade. We had a very spacious villa which had a large deck, living room with couch and TV, very large nd comfortable king size bed, deep bath, his and hers sinks, large waterfall shower and 2 toilet rooms. The bathroom had soaps and shampoos available. The toilet paper was very rough to use, almost like a fine sand paper. Which became an issue after we became unwell.
The rooms felt a little dated, without much 'personality', but were generally quite clean.
The air-conditioning worked well and we enjoyed the sun lounges on the deck. The rooms were well stocked with sparkling & still water, snacks, soft drink, juices, tea and coffee.

The sites to see around the resort are lovely. We did however realise that the ocean activities were closed at the times we wanted to participate. This was our first ever Club Med visit, so didn't know what to expect, but we found it very loud - from the very loud music playing at breakfast to the loud music in the pool and theatre. Lots of themed activities, which if that is your idea of a good time, maybe very well suited, but we found it hard to find some quiet time amongst the busy of our work function trip. We attempted to relax with a massage at the spa, but unfortunately found the therapy to be very fast paced and not relaxing at all and after the massage we were taken to the relaxation room for tea or cold drinks, but it was right at reception, which was quite noisy. We then decided to visit the ZEN Pool - which is more like an algae filled pond, that isn't suitable for swimming. An upgrade to this area to perhaps have a chlorine or salt pool, surrounded with a pond, would make more sense. We decided to just lay in a cabana for a rest instead. We were shocked to find that the pool party was literally all of the staff in the pool playing and flirting with each other, we guessed this was probably to get the vibe going, but as soon as they finished so did the DJ. The bar really struggled to keep up and often ran out of glasses or different alcohol types.

We found the food to be very hit and miss. We were a little naive and didn't take it too seriously with how the buffet was not kept hot/cold sufficiently. At breakfast we ate cold eggs and for lunch the sliced meats were room temperature. We believe this contributed to both of us and quite a number of other patrons becoming unwell a couple of days into our week stay. The pastries and desserts were delicious. We had a very large function one evening for dinner that started at 6.30pm and as of 9pm our meal still hadnt been brought out.

The location and proximity to Cefalù is amazing and for the most part we enjoyed our stay, perhaps a little change in management style to keep on top of the little things, could make it more enjoyable
